The award ceremony, held last night in Los Angeles, recognized our team's achievement in creating what the judges called "a masterclass in cyberpunk storytelling and player agency."
Creative Director Amaia Velasco accepted the award, stating: "This recognition validates our belief that players crave deep, meaningful narratives in their games. We set out to create a world where every choice matters, and we're honored that both critics and players have embraced our vision."

Welcome to our third development blog for Aetherbound! Today we're diving deep into the world design of our upcoming fantasy adventure.
Aetherbound takes place in the Skyrealms, a collection of floating islands suspended above an endless abyss. Our goal was to create a world that feels both magical and physically plausible.
Lead World Designer Naomi Sato explains: "We developed a system we call 'Aerodynamics' that determines how each island moves based on its size, shape, and magical energy. Larger islands drift slowly, while smaller ones can be buffeted by magical storms."
Traditional open-world games spread horizontally - ours expands vertically. Players will need to master various methods of traversal:
The islands aren't static - they follow predictable but dynamic paths. Certain events can alter these paths, creating new connections between areas.
"We want players to feel like they're exploring a living, breathing world," says Art Director Li Mei Zhang. "The floating islands create constantly changing vistas that reward observation and exploration."
